instructor training

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality training.

Becoming a driving instructor is more than just a job. It is a profession that provides long term career prospects, unlimited job satisfaction and unrivalled benefits.

As a driving instructor, you have the freedom to choose your own working hours, be your own boss and develop small business skills.

Driving Instructor Training in 3 parts

Our instructor training is split into 3 parts, to mirror the DVSA ADI qualification path, with focused support, training and resource at each part.

Our professional training is delivered through a mixture of people and technology; our interactive, virtual class rooms are accessible from any device, supported by focused, one to one in-car tuition.

We also have professional people all around you who’ll support you in your journey.

DVSA – Theory

Start to increase your knowledge and build the foundation for your success as a driving instructor.

To help you prepare for the DVSA Part 1 test consisting of multiple choice questions and a hazard perception test, you’ll need to utilise your home study pack, participate in virtual classrooms and attend dedicated local events.

You’ll also have 2 hours with your local trainer who will help plan your approach to the training and help set you targets to achieve.

DVSA – Driving Ability

As you are building your knowledge, discover how to apply it to your own driving.

You’ll develop improved awareness, advanced car control and a greater application of how to move within the traffic with a higher level of skill.

Combine private practice with 12 hours of quality 1-to-1 in-car training and you’ll be ready to pass DVSA Part 2 Driving Ability test with ease.

DVSA – Teaching Ability

Part 3 is focused on how to get the best out of people and teaching in a moving classroom.

You’ll develop the full range of skills you need to demonstrate as an effective driving instructor through 36 hours of focused 1-to-1 in-car training, virtual classrooms and individual events.

Once you’ve passed you’ll be ready to start your new career as a fully qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
